Nail Varnish Daydreams

My thoughts have been on trying to figure out a way to stop biting my fingernails. Several people have suggested buying gorgeous nail varnish and painting my fingernails. I’ve been browsing the Lena White website and can’t help daydreaming.

This makes me think of cheeky naughtiness, coy glances, delicious cocktails and flirty heels. I would totally rock this nail varnish with the naughty but nice look.

This is such a pretty colour. I would rock this quirky colour in a mysterious trenchcoat and gorgeous shoes with interesting accessories to show my softer side.

This makes me think of a femme fatale, but gothed up. I would wear this with smokey eyes, dark red lipstick, a little black dress and epic shoes.

I love classic, pretty pinks. This one cries out for a slouchy beret, a loose girly blouse, skinny jeans and much cuteness. The drink is apparently passion tea lemonade. I don’t know what that is but it sounds so me.

How To Survive Insomnia Fabulously

Hello my lovelies! Unfortunately I still don’t have any internet at my house. Luckily I’m at my boyfriend’s parents’ house (at 2.44am, funnily enough!). Hope to be back soon! :)

How To Survive Insomnia Fabulously

Most people suffer from some form of sleeping problem at some point in their lives, ranging from that irritating ‘can’t-get-to-sleep’ feeling to fully blown insomnia. It’s a condition that can have massive effects on your day-to-day life, and few of them are positive. So how can you cope more easily?

Try having a routine that makes you feel like it is bedtime. A hot bath filled with bubbles, a glass of milky drink and doing some stretches are some common ideas, but these won’t work for everyone.

Make your bedroom a wonderful place to sleep. Soothing colours, fabrics that feel comforting, delicate scents and good thick curtains can all help.

Turn off that computer! It’s a cliche but true. Also turn off the TV for about an hour before you go to bed.

Try herbal remedies. Not the thing for everyone but a lot of people have great success with them.

If you can’t sleep, try using the time to do something important. This will reduce feelings of frustration and guilt when you are unable to do what you had planned during the day due to tiredness.

Have a variety of healthy snacks on hand so that a night spent awake doesn’t also have devastating effects on your waistline.

Eye creams can be good to help rid yourself of those dark circles. Also, learn to be awesome with concealer. Just because you can’t sleep doesn’t mean you can’t be awesome!

So what do you think would work to make coping with insomnia easier?

:(

I’m out of action until I get internet set up at my house. Sorry, darlings.

Also, my opening to 2009 has not gone very well so far and I haven’t managed to create the perfect, happy life yet (largely due to my sister). Rest assured, however, that I will keep trying.

Kisses until my return!

Happy Astley Day

So everyday I like to celebrate Astley day. As in, unfortunately, listening to the pop-cheese-awesomeness-pie that is ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’. Try it; it might make you smile. Here are three Rick Astley songs for your aural pleasure.

Have an awesome Astley day!

I, Coley Coleson, solemnly swear to make 2009 my best year ever. More ideas coming tomorrow, but for now I think that I will:

♥ Actively strive to be the positive, beautiful person I know I can be

♥ Be happy being myself

♥ Achieve all of things I want to achieve

I know I can do it- and so can you! :)
